Ernesto Lima has been nominated as an Accessibility Champion due to his demonstrated commitment to fostering a better campus for students with disabilities.

Every semester, Disability and Access asks students registered with the office to nominate faculty and staff members who have demonstrated excellence in working towards a campus that is accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for students with disabilities. Students are encouraged to nominate an individual who has positively impacted their semester.

The following is an excerpt from his student’s anonymous nomination…

Dr. Lima was flexible throughout the semester and helped make the class accessible to me when my disability affected me more than usual. Overall, professors such as Dr. Lima are the reason I'm glad to have chosen to have come to UT.
