Dawson's work noted in SIAM News

SIAM President Nick Trefethen featured Clint Dawson's "memorable simulation of Hurricane Katrina" in his front-page discussion of uncertainty quantification in the May SIAM News. Dawson, ICES core faculty, leader of the ICES Computational Hydraulics Group, and professor of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics, gave a talk at SIAM's April Conference on Uncertainty Quantification. The discipline is a rapidly growing field and Dawson was selected to speak at SIAM's first meeting on the subject.
