ICES featured in latest SIAM News

[[The June issue of SIAM News features stories on Clint Dawson, Andrea Hawkins-Daarud and Tinsley Oden.
The monthly printed news journal of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics gave front page coverage of Dr. Oden receiving the 2011 SIAM/ACM Prize in Computational Science and Engineering. Dr. Oden was recognized for his "impact on the development of finite element methods." Read more.]]
Dr. Hawkins-Daarud was pictured with Dr. Oden as his latest student to complete her Ph.D. An article on page 5 provided a summary of her dissertation work to calibrate, validate and quantify models of tumor growth.
Dr. Dawson was credited for his work on the SIAG/Geosciences Conference prize committee on page 3 of the society's monthly journal, with a photograph presenting the group's top career prize.
