Student Amir Khalighi receives the Best Poster prize

Student Amir Khalighi received the Best Poster prize at the 2016 Frontiers in Medical Devices conference held at the University of Maryland May 23-25.

Amir's poster, "A Multi-resolution Analysis of the Mitral Valve Geometry for the Development of Personalized Models," was the product of research at the ICES Center for Cardiovascular Simulation. Collaborators on the research were Amir Khalighi; Andrew Drach, ICES postdoc; Ajit Yoganathan (Georgia Tech), Robert Gorman (University of Pennsylvania), Joseph Gorman (University of Pennsylvania) and Michael Sacks, director of the ICES Center for Cardiovascular Simulation.

The conference was sponsored by the Biomedical Engineering Society, and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
