Alexis Vasseur got his PhD in Mathematics at the Pierre et Marie Curie University (Sorbonne University) in Paris (France). He held permanent positions at the CNRS (France), and at the University of Oxford (UK). He is now holding the John T Stuart III Centennial Professorship in Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin and is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society since 2016.
