Biography

Andrés obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Michigan State University in 2023 under the direction of Dr. Yingda Cheng. He studied the applicability of post-processing techniques to discontinuous Galerkin solutions to the Vlasov-Maxwell system.

Here at the Oden Institute, Andrés will be working with Dr. Irene Gamba at the Applied Mathematics Group and the Center for Numerical Analysis. His research is aimed at developing and analyzing numerical methods for solving kinetic equations from plasma physics.
