Surrogate Modeling Control SystemsBiography
Hassan completed his PhD in civil engineering from UT Austin where he developed informative path planning strategies for autonomous mobile sensing of distributed parameter systems, robotic and perception systems for chemical analysis of microplastics in the wild, and local particle filtering methods for state estimation of distributed parameter systems. During his postdoc, Hassan is focused on perception, and learning-based simulation and control of granular flows.
Hassan's research interests include estimation and control for autonomy, reduced-order and surrogate modeling, and perception with applications in civil and environmental engineering.
