James is a Texas native. He graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2006 with a degree in Residential Design, and began his tenure with The University of Texas at Austin in 2015 in the offices of Industry Engagement, Department of English, Office of Sponsored Projects, International Office, and most recently 3 years and 6 months in the Department of Astronomy. There he had an emphasis in research administration from pre-award to post-award and managing two Astronomy summer scholar programs, the NSF/DoD UT Austin Astronomy Department REU and the Astronomy TAURUS summer program.
