Matt Goldberg is a 2018 graduate of Bates College, where he majored in physics and mathematics. As an undergraduate, he served as a research assistant for the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences REU program where he studied computational geometric folding problems. Additionally, during his senior year at Bates, he wrote a physics thesis titled “Simulating Barotropic Vorticity on a 2-Sphere Using Spectral Methods” and a math thesis titled “Numerical Solutions to Partial Differential Equations”. His research interests include finite element method, computational fluid dynamics, and computational mechanics. Since graduating, Matt has worked as a software engineer for GNS Healthcare, a biotech company in Cambridge, MA.
