Michael Mitchell

Biography

Michael grew up in St. Simons Island, Georgia before attending the University of Notre Dame, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Economics. Following his bachelor's, he spent a year at Imperial College London obtaining a master's in Applied Mathematics. Michael joined the CSEM program in the Fall of 2025. His research interests include numerical differential equations, optimization, and high-performance computing. In his free time, Michael enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and reading.
