Nina Noel De La Torre

Biography

Nina is a Jewish Hispanic woman who grew up loving mathematics in San Antonio, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for her undergraduate degree in Math where she worked with Dr. Alperen Ergür studying applications of Algebraic Geometry. Her research interests are Computer Aided Geometric Design and modeling fluid mechanics. You might often see Nina dancewalking on the UT campus. Why? Because attending the CSEM Ph.D. program in the Oden institute is a dream come true for Nina, and she lives every day thoroughly wonderstruck.
