Biography
Shannon Thorne is an Administrative Manager at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences. She joined the institute in March 2023. Shannon is originally from Cape Town, South Africa where she taught Pre-K in a local school for 10 years. After moving to the USA, she became involved with BookSpring, a local literacy non-profit where she was the Program Director.
In her spare time she loves working in her yard, quilting and is an avid reader.
Thorne has a Bachelor's of Education, majoring in Mathematics.
