Tao Hong

Biography

Tao Hong was a postdoctoral fellow in the Functional MRI Lab at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Henry and Marilyn Taub Faculty of Computer Science in 2021 at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.

His main research interests include numerical optimization and multigrid computational methods. He is particularly focused on designing efficient and provable computational methods to address the computational challenges arising in scientific computing, signal processing, machine learning, and computational imaging.
