Peter O'Donnell, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Engineering and Sciences
Postdoctoral Fellow Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences
William Sands joined the Center for Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences as a Peter O'Donnell Jr. Postdoctoral Fellow in the Fall 2022 semester. Prior to this, he completed his PhD at Michigan State University working with Professor Andrew Christlieb in the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering program. His work developed scalable algorithms for PDEs as well as new particle methods for computational electromagnetics applications. Before entering the PhD program at Michigan State University, he completed a BS/MS in Applied Mathematics at The University of Akron, in northeast Ohio, in 2017.
