Finite Element Methods Inverse ProblemsBiography
Arif Badrou was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Riverside, before joining the Center for Computational Medicine at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. from INSA Lyon, France.
His doctoral work focused on catheter navigation in the aorta using finite element methods and reduced-order modeling techniques. More recently, his research has shifted toward lung diseases, where he develops predictive computational models by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid–structure interaction (FSI), and inverse problem approaches to better understand and address respiratory conditions.
