Blake Bordelon earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 2025, where he studied learning in large neural networks. Before his Ph.D., he studied physics and electrical/systems engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. After completing his graduate studies, he spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at the Harvard Center for Mathematical Sciences and Applications (CMSA). He starts as an Assistant Professor at UT Austin Oden Institute and Department of Neuroscience in August 2026.
Professor Bordelon will be spending the academic year working as a research scientist at Cursor. He will join us on campus in August 2027.
