Biography
Alperen was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. After obtaining his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bilkent University, he joined UT Austin as a graduate student. His research involves parallel computing, machine learning, inverse problems and optimization of additive manufacturing processes. Beyond academics, Alperen is an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for basketball.
