Jasmine Wu is an Assistant Professor at the Moody College of Communication, University of Texas at Austin, and a Senior Fellow at Wharton People Analytics at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her Ph.D. in Media, Technology, and Society and an M.S. in Statistics from Northwestern University.
Dr. Wu studies relational dynamics in teams and organizations, with a focus on how communication and collaboration technologies shape employee well-being, coordination, and performance. Her research integrates computational analytics with organizational communication theories to examine how digital communication technologies, institutional environments, and network structures shape collaboration and innovation in modern organizational settings. Specifically, she uses large-scale digital trace data, network modeling, text analytics, and qualitative interviews to better understand communication and collaboration patterns across hybrid workplaces, innovation teams, knowledge systems, and healthcare settings.
Her research has received multiple national and international awards and has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals across communication, management, and network science.
