Associate Director, Business Planning and Operations Oden Institute
Maria Stanzione is the Associate Director for Business Planning and Operations at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences. She joined the Institute in April 2019. In this position she has oversight of the Institute Finance and Accounting, Systems Operations, Communications, and Programs, including the Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Graduate Program, the O’Donnell Postdoctoral Research Fellows Program and Oden Visitors Program. She is also the primary architect of the Oden Institute Annual Report.
Stanzione joined the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 as a Project Manager in the Center for Energy and Environmental Resources. She has over 27 years of experience working in both the administrative and academic sides of higher education at institutions across the country including Arizona State University, George Washington University, Clemson University, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Stanzione has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration focusing on Non-Profit Management from the University of Georgia and a Master’s in Education, Higher Education Policy from Arizona State University. She is also a Certified Research Administrator.
Stanzione is interested in learning more about geology and art history. In her free-time she enjoys spending time with friends, hiking and traveling. Her favorite place is Jackson Hole, Wyoming, though she is happy almost anywhere with a mountain view.
