Biography

Dr. Dima Kozakov holds the W. A. "Tex" Moncrief, Jr. Chair in Computational Life Sciences and Biology and directs the AIxPhysics Drug Discovery Center. His research is focused on bridging models of molecular interactions with macroscopic cell behavior to explain mechanisms of life and predict the effects of therapeutic compounds on healthy and diseased cells. To do this, he integrates physics-aware deep learning of molecular interactions with multi-omics data from organisms and diseases, using the world’s fastest supercomputers to help advance precision medicine for cancer. Dr. Kozakov has extensive experience collaborating with researchers in the fields of medicine, engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, chemistry, and biosciences.
