Hello, my name is Aneesh. I am a long-term Austinite: having gone to middle school, high school (Go Wood!), undergrad, and med school; all here at Austin and UT. In my third year of medical school, I had the opportunity to pursue a Masters in Biomedical Engineering, and as part of that I took several engineering classes, including Computational Oncology with Dr. Yankeelov. The topics explored in that class felt like the perfect intersection of my interests, the belief that we can leverage technology to improve the efficacy of our treatments. As a result, I decided to take a year to do research before returning to finish medical school. My academic interests include leveraging computation as a tool to improve treatments, especially in the context of drug effect/toxicity modeling.
