The Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, in partnership with the Kay Bailey Hutchison (KBH) Energy Center, announces the launch of a new fellowship for an Oden Institute graduate student or postdoctoral fellow in 2026-27.

The KBH Computational Energy Fellow will contribute their knowledge of computational science to the educational programming of the KBH Center’s Energy Studies Minor. During the 2026-27 academic year, the KBH Fellow will help showcase the power of computational science to drive innovation by delivering educational presentations, participating in mentoring and networking events, and creating content in support of the KBH Energy Center’s efforts to be a trusted voice on energy policy. The Fellow will support the academic programming of the Energy Studies Minor which spans both long semesters and includes an immersive summer program.

Fellowship Terms

  • Fellowships are for the period June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027.
  • The KBH Fellow will receive a $15K stipend for their engagement in the academic programming of the Energy Studies Minor. The KBH Fellow will also have access to a $5K travel award for travel to academic and professional events.
