The J. Tinsley Oden Faculty Fellowship Research Program was established in 1993 by an anonymous endowment donated to enhance the Oden Institute research environment. In March 2003, the program was renamed in honor of Professor J. Tinsley Oden, who has managed it since its inception.
The program’s purpose is twofold:
Since its inception, the program has sponsored over 574 unique visitors from the US and abroad for over 1,000 visits ranging in length from two weeks to one year. To date, the program has sponsored over 400 international visits, with fellows representing 34 countries and every major continent.
Opportunities for applications to sponsor Faculty Fellows are announced to Core and Affiliated Institute Faculty multiple times throughout each year. For more information, please contact Melissa Manifold.
Please note that all persons affiliated with the University are currently required by law or UT policy to take certain compliance training within the first 21 days of university affiliation.
An application form for each proposed visitor must be submitted by the announced deadline to Program Coordinator Melissa Manifold at melissa@oden.utexas.edu.
For email submissions, all documents must be PDF formatted. For questions regarding this program contact the Program Coordinator.
